THE SOVEREIGNTY
OF GRACE
Arthur C. Custance
ABSTRACT
In
this study ELECTION and PREDESTINATION are not cold, austere
doctrines but the vibrant heart of the Gospel.
It is a thorough, and fair, study
beginning with a historical review of the Five Points as
discussed and interpreted down through the centuries.
It is a unique study dealing with
the implications of the doctrine, taking it out of the intellectual
and philosophical realm into the practicality of daily life.
There is refreshing insight into the knotty problems of God's
sovereignty and man's free will, the problem of punishment and
rewards, the necessity of evangelism, among other things.
It is a comprehensive study
for included is a discussion of the future of the non-elect,
a subject fraught with more emotion than light. The pros and
cons of alternative views are presented.
