The IAPP has some exciting news to share.
In the past, claiming your continuing privacy education credits has not been easy.
Yeah, we know.
You're all nodding your heads out there.
Well, good news.
We've changed things up for the better and made the CPE submission process less confusing and easier for you to manage from your MyIAPP page.
How exactly did we do that?
Great question.
For starters, you'll no longer need to divide your credits into Group A and Group B.
You'll just need 20 CPEs per term, per credential, period.
Oh, and get this.
We'll now be sending you quarterly updates, so you no longer need to worry about things like, how many CPE credits do I need?
Did I submit my CPE credits in time?
Did I leave the iron on?
Okay, maybe not that last question, but you get the idea.
You'll also be able to apply your CPE credits to multiple credentials on one easy-to-use interface.
And, if you haven't fulfilled your credits, we'll continue to send you 30 and 90-day advance notices that your credits due date is coming up.
And that's not all.
We're giving you more ways than ever to earn your CPE credits through a brand new feature called CPE Central.
Here, you'll find all kinds of opportunities to earn your CPE credits, including more free options, all arranged by credential.
Much simpler, right?
Another improvement is that the non-member's annual maintenance fee of $125 billed annually will be replaced with the certification maintenance fee of $250 billed every other year.
The cost will be the same, but you'll have one single payment that aligns with your term dates for added convenience.
Lastly, if you have multiple credentials, your term dates will be aligned to the same date, which means just one term end date for all of your credentials.
And if you earn a second credential within one year of the end date of your first, you will not be required to earn CPE credits until the next full term.
So how do you like all that news?
It's not quite as exciting as free donuts in the break room, but it'll definitely make your life easier and less confusing.
